Kate Liston, Principal
Kate graduated from NUI Galway in 2006 with an Honours Bachelor of Corporate Law degree and was first admitted as a solicitor in New South Wales, Australia in February 2010, adding her name to the Roll in Ireland in 2017.
Kate gained family law experience in another Limerick law firm before setting up Liston Family Law and has advised clients across Ireland on family law matters. Kate is a former Board Member of Men’s Aid Ireland and has a keen interest assisting clients who are suffering domestic abuse.
Kate successfully completed the Diploma in Family Law run by the Law Society of Ireland that strengthened her knowledge in this area of law.
With a significant portion of her career being spent in large, commercial law firms and corporate environments, Kate combines a keen adherence to client care standards developed in those practices with the empathetic approach that family law deserves.

Being kept up to date on the status of your matter is crucial to you successfully navigating the legal process.
Similarly, we understand the costs involved in legal matters can cause additional stress and we will be up front with you in terms of the fees we charge and, where possible, provide a fixed fee for our legal advice.
Aisling Carr, Senior Associate
Aisling is a graduate of University College Cork having completed a Bachelor of Civil Law degree in 2005. She qualified as a Solicitor in 2009 having completed her training with one of Munster’s largest Law Firms.
Aisling always had a keen interest in family law and indeed she focused on this area of law during her traineeship and has continued to practice in the area ever since.
Aisling takes a practical yet empathetic approach to her cases. Her focus is on achieving an excellent outcome for her clients and their children through fair and effective communication, where possible. However, she has the competency and experience to bring more contentious cases to a successful conclusion.
Over the years, Aisling has represented hundreds of family law clients in the District, Circuit and High Courts and looks forward to representing hundreds more in the years to come.
Natalie Beck, Legal Executive
Natalie graduated from University College Cork in 2008 with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree. She gained valuable experience and knowledge whilst working as a Legal Secretary before completing her Diploma in Professional Legal Studies in 2012.
Natalie qualified as a Legal Executive in 2012 and is a member of the Irish Institute of Legal Executives. Natalie commenced the Law Society of Ireland’s Diploma in Family Law in September 2021 and is due to complete the course in Spring 2022.
Before joining Liston Family Law, Natalie had extensive experience working in two prominent Limerick firms over the years.
Natalie has a solid understanding of Family Law in Ireland and offers client excellent service through clear and prompt communication along with empathy for the difficult situation they find themselves in.
Marie O’Shea, Legal Secretary
Marie joined Liston Family Law in June 2021 as a Legal Secretary.
Marie is usually the first point of contact new clients have with our office and Marie offers them a warm welcome as well as helping existing clients with their enquiries. Marie has several years’ experience as a legal secretary and also has significant experience in property which is an asset in family law matters.
In 2019, Marie completed a four year Diploma in Law through the Pitman Training Centre.
